It is neat seeing these hives downtown Victoria. Obviously Victoria downtown has enough flower power to maintain these bee hives. Haven’t seen many of these critters the past few years (bumble bees yes, but not many little ones). Bees have a tough time these days. If you grow vegetables next to the highway you must expect fallout from fumes to land on the veggies. I wonder whether the downtown bee congregation or its honey is affected at all by this type of pollution? Probably not enough to worry about. Bottom line is these hives should produce enough for the hotel with honey to spare (for the chain’s other hotels?). Nice.
