About Joseph de Lange

Before retirement worked in art galleries, a photo studio, offices, and the trades. Don't travel much anymore but still photograph. For the past 5 years 95% of my photography is done with the phone. My prediction for big cameras: DSLRs and their beautiful lenses and even the smaller mirrorless cameras will be mostly a historical footnote in the not too distant future.

Very nice sequence of shots. Its really interesting to see the progression of decay. And it makes me wonder what it was for in the first place, and why it needed a footbridge to get to it. Some kind of landing for larger deep draught vessels?

    • I’ve wondered about its purpose ever since first photographing it. Most probably it is a left over from Mill Bay’s (emphasis on Mill) lumber related history. Since your comment I have looked for historical photos of that point but no luck so far.

  2. Nice series. Where is Mill Bay Road?

Stunning photos! The first looks really dramatic 🙂
